About the role


------------------


The Strategic Partnerships & Impact Manager for the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering will become a member of the growing Strategic Alliances & Impact Team. The role holder will provide the department's Strategic Alliances Director with high-level administrative support for managing the engagement of departmental staff at all level with the industry partners that are involved in students' projects, sponsored research activities, partnerships in new research centres and programmes, outreach activities and professional development activities organised by the department and target at external organisations. This role will involve creating career development opportunities for students by engaging with a wide range of industry partners, UCL Careers, and student societies.



The post holder will also work with the Communications and Marketing Manager, and will place a focus on alumni relations, supporting Education and Research, and communications that support our engagement with industrial stakeholders and external organisations.



The role is available until 31st July 2026 in the first instance. Further funding to support the post may be available


About you

Candidates should be educated to degree level, or have equivalent qualifications or substantial experience. Industry sector knowledge is essential.



The role holder must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external staff at all levels including existing and potential commercial and industrial partners . The postholder should also have strong organisational skills, enabling them to manage a high volume of diverse events tailored to different audiences. Additionally, the successful candidate will have excellent networking and negotiating skills.



Experience within a Higher Education Institution or an environment related to the department's research specialisms is desirable, as well as knowledge of Intellectual Property and legal issues relevant to university enterprise
