My client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical products for a range of industries are in search of a Strategic Planner to join their established, passionate team.

As the Strategic Planner you will be delivering strategic planning, analysis, and project-based activities, supporting the executive team. As well as supporting resource allocation decisions within a project portfolio management context.

The Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in the Corporation\'s Strategic Planning Process, which will include significant management events such as Strategy Review, Financial Review, and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Help to develop and deliver the integrated strategic and business planning framework for our global business, including a program and portfolio approach to strategy implementation.
  • Develop and analyse business case proposals for product and market development, including early-stage screening of opportunities for investments in growth programs and adjacent markets.
  • Evaluate the performance of product lines and growth programs and then make portfolio recommendations to ensure that we optimize resource allocations for profitable growth.
  • Create and maintain a quantitative model of our served available markets and focused markets, including market share, using both primary and secondary sources.
  • Support strategic deployment and execution, including Hoshin planning and performance management in improvement initiatives and the monthly Project Review Board
  • Working closely with the VP of Strategy and Planning and consults with colleagues in other functional departments, especially Finance, Marketing, R&D, and Operations
  • Supports executive decision-making, especially screening and analysis of growth program opportunities for product or market development.
  • Provides analytical, assurance, and investigative support for project portfolio management, including new product development, operations change, and business transformation proposals.

Essential
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with one year of relevant experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or a related technical discipline

  • Project management experience or qualifications
  • Product management or management consulting experience
