An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to lead the Strategic Planning Policy Team at Bridgend.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, monitoring and review of local and strategic land use policy including planning, transport and housing under the statutory development plan in accordance with the Planning Acts and related legislation. The post will also be responsible for leading on the development of a suite of Supplementary Planning Guidance, providing multiple opportunities to enhance skills and experience in a range of thematic planning areas.
The role will also be responsible for all matters relating to planning obligations and other community benefits, while researching and providing other information as is required for the attainment of the County Borough Council's policy objectives.
The successful candidate will also have significant opportunities to contribute to regional planning policies through the Strategic Development Plan.
