This position will reside within Global Strategic Sourcing Services (GSSS), the Indirect Procurement group within McDonald\'s Global Supply Chain business, in the Global Market Enablement Team. The Market Enablement is a dynamic and fast-paced department which contributes directly to the bottom-line performance of the company and its restaurants. The team consults with leaders throughout the company and supports initiatives that are driving McDonald\'s into the future.

The GSSS Market Enablement Supervisor will be responsible for supporting needs of the European markets by leveraging services and resources of broader GSSS teams and category strategies. The team influences approximately $3B in spend per annum across multiple categories: Business Services, Development, Equipment, Marketing, and Technology. Market Enablement is unique in that we are the only Global team that is entirely Market facing and holistically works across all non-food categories.



You will partner with internal stakeholders in negotiating pricing and contracts, calculating and reporting savings, supplier management, procurement methodologies. The Market Enablement team helps bridge-the-gap between Global Supply Chain and the markets we serve to ensure it\'s a mutually beneficial relationship and to strengthen the voice of the markets.

Reporting to the GSSS EU Market Enablement Manager you will work closely with indirect procurement organizations in multiple markets within Global Supply Chain, and GSSS internal stakeholders. This position may entail supervision of Sourcing Analysts or 3rd-party.

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development of the Strategic Sourcing Strategy for assigned categories
  • Development of new projects pipeline, forecasting required resources and benefits
  • Partner with other Global and local Sourcing Managers to identify processes, metrics, and tools to optimize sourcing and share best practices
  • Applying Decision Making (DAI) methodology to determine roles, strategy, and tactics for contributing resources during the sourcing process
  • Leading and/or supporting supplier negotiations
  • Encourage and coordinate savings opportunities across European markets and help non-European markets benefit from the European region\'s scale
  • Aligning local / regional / global sourcing or initiative strategies and calendars
  • Development of presentation materials for department and leadership updates
Qualifications

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience of Supply Chain management, Strategic Sourcing, Sales, or Finance
  • Multi-lingual with fluency in English and another primary European language (German preferred) is essential.
  • Analytical and detail oriented; an ability to understand the detail but present findings and recommendations, consistent with the audience and its priorities.
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Has worked on or lead projects from end to end.
  • Proficient at communicating conclusions to leadership/stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Possess a working knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and procurement standard methodologies, including supplier negotiations, selection, evaluation, management, and development; must be able to demonstrate \xe2\x80\x9chands-on\xe2\x80\x9d experience.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tool

  • We are flexible on location within our European office network - relocation support will not be provided.
