The Strategic Workforce Planning and Future of Work is a critical role designed to proactively architect PwC's response to the fundamental shifts in how work is done. As a strategic leader, this role will be responsible for leading the SWP function for the LoS and the firm, as well as designing workflows that enable the business to respond to and capitalise on the opportunities presented by AI, automation, and the evolving expectations of our people. This is a strategic imperative to drive profitability, enhance market leadership, and ensure our work is focused on solving our clients' most important problems.

What your days will look like:



Lead the firm's strategic work design and planning to ensure demand and supply of labour and skills across the Lines of Service, aligned to future strategy. Lead a team of Senior Managers driving and delivering the LoS SWPs and the firmwide strategy and analytics function, supporting them to understand the business strategy and align/forecast future workforce. Design and embed a continuous work design and planning methodology that enables the firm to anticipate, and augment how work is done in response to change and emerging technologies. Partner with the People Function to convert strategies into people interventions. Drive the change required to re-shape the work and workforce in line with changing client and market needs. Utilise data and insights to guide the firm on critical skill requirements for the future state people model. Lead horizon-scanning activities to identify and interpret global and technological trends and translate these insights into a strategic roadmap for the firm's future skill requirements. Engage with People Directors to integrate strategic work design and planning within the broader People strategy.

This role is for you if:



A background in Strategic Workforce Planning in a large scale, complex organisation. Ideally experience in both Organisational Design and Workforce Design/Planning. Experience in developing solutions across the end-to-end talent lifecycle and talent strategy and the implementation of agreed solutions. Proficient with workforce analytics and forecasting tools with an ability to assess complex information and provide actionable insights. A practical understanding of emerging technologies like Generative AI and automation and their application in a professional services context. Proven ability to translate complex data and abstract concepts into a compelling, action-oriented narrative for senior leadership. Effective communication, relationship and stakeholder engagement skills particularly with senior stakeholders.
