We have a fantastic opportunity for a Strategy Analyst to join our Commercial department on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for support setting and monitoring the strategic direction of the business through data and insight, partnerships and strategic planning.

What will my role entail?

  • Gathering, analysing and sharing customer, commercial, competitor and market insight
  • Analysing internal data through dashboard tools and internal forums
  • Market and Competitor insight through public data, financial reporting cycles and desk research
  • Proactively monitor and report on market movements
  • Communicating to broad and senior internal audiences
  • Supporting regular performance reporting and comms, including customer journey and commercial performance
  • This includes board-level reporting as well as BAU management
  • Develop close working relationships with key business functions to bring together data and insight (incl Finance, Pricing, Customer, Operations etc)
  • Work closely with design and delivery squads to support gathering and analysis of customer data and insight in line with our strategies
  • Develop strong relationships with squads to identify opportunities and monitor results of our efforts
  • Supporting our approach to strategic planning and review
  • Helping to co-ordinate quarterly business reviews
  • Supporting analysis for prioritising strategic initiatives
  • Support ad hoc strategic projects, including business development opportunities
  • Produce materials as needed (briefing documents etc)
  • Analysis and assessment of opportunities
  • Maintaining and reviewing key risks from a customer and strategic perspective
Qualifications
  • Experience in strategy and/or analysis - either at a consulting firm or in-house
  • Ideally sector experience in UK, US or European retail financial services
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, appropriate for executive and board level
  • Highly numerate and experienced in working with data to generate insights and hypotheses - able to use data tools and excel proficiently to probe and analyse data
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take inputs from a variety of sources and develop an approach
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to organise and manage your work across multiple activities
  • Resilience to dynamic environments with competing priorities
  • Ability to form close working relationships with a range of stakeholders and peers and collaborate effectively
  • Able to identify improvements in our ways of working around data, insight and strategic development
