The Opportunity





We're looking for a Strategy Consultant with deep experience advising Marketing functions within organisations - someone who understands how marketing operates and how it drives business growth, even if they haven't been a marketer themselves. You'll have partnered with CMOs or senior marketing leaders, helping them define strategies, navigate change, and unlock value.



At This Place, our AI Practice helps marketing leaders understand how artificial intelligence can reshape their business. You'll be working with some of the world's most ambitious brands to identify where AI can make a meaningful impact on marketing, CX, and brand growth.



Most of your time will be spent delivering client projects from initial problem framing through to final recommendations. As a small team, our consultants are expected to be able to work independently with light guidance from senior leadership

Key responsibilities:





Deliver strategy consultancy projects for clients, focused on AI within the Marketing function

Conduct structured research and analysis to inform strategic recommendations - from market and trend scans to competitive assessments Identify opportunities to drive consumer and business value with AI within Marketing Develop high-quality client deliverables including presentations, business cases and workshop materials Support the design and facilitation of senior workshops with CMOs and marketing leaders



About you:



You don't need to be an AI expert, but you're passionate about how AI is changing Marketing and motivated to deepen your expertise in this space Experience: 5 - 7 years in management consulting, ideally within a strategy or digital advisory practice Significant experience advising Marketing or customer-facing functions (e.g. brand, media, CRM, CX, performance, product marketing) Proven ability to structure and deliver strategic recommendations in areas such as marketing transformation, growth strategy, innovation, or digital capability building. You have excellent general business acumen, exceptional problem solving skills, and outstanding verbal and written communication skills (in English) You are driven, responsible, highly proactive and self directed... ...and highly flexible, relaxed and resilient in fast-paced, highly changeable environments - we're a small business working in an industry that's moving at a rate of knots You are low-ego and collaborative. Location: Candidates must be comfortable working remotely and, from 2026, from our London office. The role also requires flexibility to travel internationally and to take calls outside standard UK hours when necessary.
