YOUR ROLE
We are hiring a Strategy Director for a 9-month contract role, from mid-August 2025 to May 2026. This role will provide strategic leadership for a client in the E-comm online retail category (fashion & lifestyle). From understanding the target consumer and the unique category dynamics, to having expertise in all aspects of media including comms strategy/planning, media activation/stewardship, media measurement, and performance analytics.
As a Director on our Strategy team, your role is to drive integrated thinking and encourage cross-channel ideas, ensuring that insight-driven ideas are brought to life in a strategic manner. The team's goal is to raise the bar in how we leverage media to bring integrated ideas more effectively to life.
This role is onsite in our London office, requiring 2-3 days in the office, with flexibility.
Senior stakeholder management with client, including regular strategy feedback session
Ownership of global media strategy delivery for brand marketing, from the high level down to a more planning capacity - from comms down to channel budgeting by market
Thought leadership road-mapping across a wide range of marketing disciplines and sectors
Process development, enhancement and rollout for strategy and planning (both online and offline)
Internal team lead from a strategy perspective - keeping team members across strategy and accounts aligned on priorities and delivering across a wide range of projects for the client
Leading weekly strategy meeting with the client team, monthly strategy feedback session with the client lead, and ad hoc meetings where needed by workstreams
Act as a sounding board and sparring partner to the client, helping them develop work to present internally and push them towards efforts that will achieve the company ambitions.
Lead key client projects including Global Annual Strategy and Planning, Campaign strategies, Post Campaign Analysis works, and more ad hoc strategic efforts.
REQUIREMENTS:
9+ years of experience in a strategy role (a media agency experience is highly desirable)
A strategic mindset in developing an in-depth knowledge of the clients' business
Relationship builder with a highly collaborative approach and mindset
Experience in managing senior stakeholders with defending POVs, while being flexible and receptive to feedback
Skilled in project management with the ability to juggle across multiple active projects
Data-driven mindset / the ability to think analytically and back everything up with data and numbers.
Displays a high level of personal dedication and motivation to the client's business.
Team management, including managing and mentoring team members.
Builds esprit de corps through strong team communication.
A team player willing to compromise their point of view in support of others. This person will be part of a highly successful integrated cross-discipline team
