to inspire students through contemporary, energetic, and expressive movement.

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced

Street Dance Teacher

to deliver fun, dynamic, and inclusive classes. You will teach students of different ages and abilities, helping them develop technical skills, musicality, rhythm, and performance confidence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in street/urban dance styles.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging street dance classes for students of all levels. Teach core techniques, choreography, musicality, and performance skills. Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence in movement. Prepare students for showcases, performances, or competitions. Adapt teaching to suit different age groups, abilities, and learning styles. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students. Collaborate with other teachers or coaches on cross-disciplinary projects or performances.
Person Specification

Essential:

Experience teaching street dance or urban dance to children and young people. Strong technical knowledge of multiple street dance styles. Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities. Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices.

Desirable:

Professional dance training or qualification in street dance/urban dance. Experience choreographing routines for performances or competitions. Background in commercial, contemporary, or performance dance. First Aid and Safeguarding certifications.
