Pie Hut - Street Food / Event Assistant - Jarvis Pickle

We're looking for great people to join our team serving Award-Winning Pies at Edinburgh's world famous Christmas Market.

Location: East Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh EH2 2EJ

Dates: shifts available from 15th November2025 to the 5th January 2026 [Closed Christmas Day 25th]

A bit about the company:

We make pies and we've been told they're pretty tasty - traditional meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan filled pastry pockets.

We've won 46 British Pie Awards in our five years attending. Including Champion Fish Class 2018 with our Cullen Skink Pie, Best Meat Pie Scotland 2018 with our Pork and Blue Cheese Pie, Champion Vegetarian Class 2019 with our Spinach, Goat Cheese and Sweet Potato Pie and Champion Steak and Kidney 2020 with our Steak and Kidney Pie.

We've also got six two star Great Taste Awards and eleven one star awards for our Pies. Including, 2-Stars for our Plant-based Cauliflower Curry and 2-Stars for our Plant-based Mushroom, Chestnut and Truffle Oil.

What you would be doing

:

- Provide excellent service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Heating up and serving Pies and sides e.g. mash potato [no experience necessary, all training provided]
- Set up and clean down our pop up pie hut
- Assist with event logistics, stock rotation, hygiene training will be provided

Who you are:

- Previous experience in hospitality, cafe, restaurant, or event management is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality service
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Happy working in a high paced kitchen / service environment
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required
