Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council is looking for an experienced and motivated
Street Scene Manager
to lead and improve a wide range of vital frontline services.
The
Role
You will manage and develop services including public open spaces, tree strategies, play areas, cemeteries and crematoriums, street cleansing, fly-tipping removal, environmental crime, pest and dog control. You'll lead on key strategies, ensure statutory compliance, and drive service improvement, commercialisation, and innovation across Street Scene.
This leadership role also involves budget management, contract oversight, workforce development, and working closely with Members, partners, and communities to deliver high-quality, sustainable services. You will also deputise for the Service Lead Environmental Operations when required.
