Job Overview - Strength & Conditioning Coach (Football-Focused)
NMH Ferdinand Collective | Fridays 5:30pm - 7:30pm
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Strength & Conditioning Coach to join the NMH Ferdinand Collective performance team. This role is specifically focused on football-based athletic development, using bodyweight training and plyometrics to enhance player performance, athleticism, and injury resilience.
The successful candidate will deliver high-energy, structured S&C sessions every Friday evening, supporting our football pathway and helping players maximise their physical potential. There is also an exciting opportunity to contribute to our 360 performance video system, creating guided content for players to follow outside of live sessions.
This role is ideal for a coach who is passionate about youth development, football performance, and modern athletic training methods.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver football-specific strength & conditioning sessions using bodyweight exercises and plyometrics
Lead group-based athletic development sessions for youth footballers (speed, agility, power, coordination, and injury prevention)
Ensure all sessions are age-appropriate, progressive, and performance-focused
Monitor player performance and development, adapting sessions where required
Educate players on:
Proper movement mechanics
Injury prevention
Recovery habits
Athletic mindset

Maintain a high-energy, professional, and positive training environment
Work closely with the football coaching staff to align physical training with on-pitch demands
Contribute to the 360 video system, helping create structured follow-along S&C content for players
Keep basic records of attendance, player engagement, and development focus
Remain up to date with modern football conditioning practices and youth athletic development
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Coaching, or Athletic Development
Strong understanding of:
Bodyweight training
Plyometrics
Speed, agility & coordination
Football-specific movement patterns

Confident working with young footballers in a performance environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to:
Demonstrate exercises clearly
Motivate and inspire athletes
Deliver constructive feedback
