Job Description

We're looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy known for its collaborative culture and sustainable design ethos.

You'll work on a diverse mix of projects spanning residential, commercial, education, regeneration, and infrastructure, helping to deliver elegant and efficient structural solutions that positively impact the built environment.

The Role

You'll be involved in all stages of structural design -- from concept to detailed delivery -- collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and project managers. This role offers the chance to influence design decisions, take ownership of smaller projects, and continue developing towards chartered status.

You'll support and mentor junior engineers while learning from senior and associate-level team members, gaining exposure to both technical delivery and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out structural design and analysis for a range of building and infrastructure projects. Prepare, review, and present design drawings and calculations. Brief and coordinate with Technicians and Graduate Engineers. Attend site and project team meetings to support delivery. Conduct site inspections and surveys when required. Contribute to bids, fee proposals, and internal project reviews. Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and internal quality management systems.

About You

Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (working towards chartership with ICE or IStructE). Experience in structural design across multiple sectors. Proficient in relevant analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, Revit, AutoCAD). Strong technical report writing and communication skills. Collaborative, proactive, and eager to develop within a supportive design-focused environment.
