We are looking to recruit a design manager with responsibility for the concrete frame and ground works elements of the JRL Group projects based in Borehamwood.


We are looking for:

A highly motivated individual looking for a challenging career within the construction industry Some knowledge of concrete frame construction Ability to read engineers structural drawings, architect, facade and MEP drawings Good skills in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft office Communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational skills Fluent English Language skills are required Be able to work as part of a team or on own initiative when required Ability to work to tight deadlines Possess or working towards Civil/Structural Engineering qualification

The Role includes but is not limited to the following:

Lead and manage the structural engineering design from project commencement though to completion Lead technical workshops with relevant consultants and internal supply chain, monitor tasks to ensure they are closed out Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, geotechnical, facade and MEP Plan and implement innovative solutions contributing to safe systems of work Plan the construction activities and prepare an information release schedule to ensure the timely supply of construction information Ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings to comply with project requirements Report any blockers or late information to the relevant stakeholders Ensure designs such as temporary works are code compliant and incorporated with the permanent works Provide technical support during construction, including site inspections and solutions for NCRs Review and comment on specialist subcontractor information where necessary * Prepare technical reports and submittals
