Job Summary

We are a small but growing structural engineering consultancy based in Banbury, working on a wide range of residential and commercial projects. We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently on a variety of project, producing structural calculations, CAD drawings, and reports.

Key Responsibilities

Produce structural designs solutions, calculations, and specifications for residential and commercial buildings. Prepare drawings using CAD software (ZWCAD) and structural analysis/design software such as TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, MasterSeries, or similar tools. Carry out connection design for steelwork and other structural elements. Preparing steel connection CAD/hand made drawings or details. Preparing structural calculations for timber/steel/concrete and masonry. Work collaboratively with architects, builders, and clients. Attend site visits and inspections when required (not essential, depends on workload). Manage multiple projects and meet agreed deadlines.

Requirements

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent). Experience in residential and/or commercial structural design (preferred but not essential). Proficiency with CAD and at least one structural design package (TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, MasterSeries, or similar). Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, relevant design codes and NHBC Standards. Strong communication skills and ability to liaise confidently with clients and project partners. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Pay: From 28,000.00 per year
