Structural Engineer (Partnership Opportunity)

To support our continued growth, we are seeking a like-minded Structural Engineer who is interested in building a long-term partnership.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional employed role. We are looking for a structural engineer who wants to collaborate closely with our practice on a partnership basis. The role will involve providing structural input across a variety of residential and commercial projects, ensuring that our designs are both innovative and technically robust

Key Responsibilities

Provide structural engineering expertise on architectural projects from concept through to completion. Collaborate with architects and clients to develop practical, cost-effective, and safe structural solutions. Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical reports to support planning and building control applications. Advise on materials, construction methods, and sustainability considerations. Contribute to the firm's growth by fostering strong client relationships and supporting business development.

What We're Looking For

Chartered or near-chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or equivalent). Experience working across a variety of building types, ideally within residential and small-scale commercial projects. A collaborative mindset and interest in working in partnership with an architectural practice. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialists. Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm to contribute to a growing independent firm. Applicants must be proficient in AutoCAD (and other relevant CAD software) with proven experience producing detailed structural drawings and coordination with architectural designs.
