We are a small multidisciplinary structural engineering and architectural consultancy seeking a Chartered (or near Chartered) structural engineer at our office in Wokingham, Berkshire.
We are seeking someone
Motivated, ambitious Chartered or near Chartered Structural Engineer (min. 5 years' experience) with buiding structures experience
Based within about an
hour's commute of Wokingham
, Berkshire, and have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship

Building and maintaining good Client relationships to secure and maintain Client confidence and to attract new and repeat business.
Managing projects from feasibility to completion.
Taking responsibility for managing Clients expectations and delivering their project within agreed timescales.
Co-ordinating resources to meet project needs and supervising and control the work of design engineers and REVIT technicians
Collaborating with other disciplines (in-house and externally) and co-ordinating the design.
Technical report writing
Delivery of Structural calculations and design solutions. Approval and checking of all Structural design work on allocated projects, including drawings and calculations.
Responding to incoming queries from Clients and builders
Contributing to team meetings and suggesting improvements to productivity
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
Taking ownership of personal training and development needs, be proactive in organising training courses and seminars to satisfy this commitment

Your skills and experience
Minimum 5 years' experience, MIStructE or MICE. Ideally a couple of years post-Chartered.
Extensive building structures design experience
Experience as a lead structural engineer
Structural investigation and remedial design experience
Experience using common analysis software (ROBOT, TEDDS, Tekla)
A natural technical leader capable of drawing the best out of those around you
Organised logical thinker who is open to new ideas and takes a pride in his/her work.
Good attention to detail. Confident and articulate with clients and peers.
A real desire to find the optimum compromise between technical perfection and value for money in the eyes of customers.
A good networker and well respected within his/her respective industry sector and amongst peers.
IT Literate. Knowledge of Revit / BIM would be a great advantage.
Full driving licence.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 45,000.00-60,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
