Structural Steel Construction Manager

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and supervise
site setup and installation activities
for steel structure projects. Coordinate project documentation, technical drawings, and build schedules with design and engineering teams. Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely project delivery. Manage and allocate work among site supervisors and subcontractors. Maintain compliance withhealth, safety, and environmental regulations
. Communicate effectively with clients, project engineers, and inspection authorities to resolve on-site challenges. Overseesteel erection, welding, and mechanical assembly
to ensure quality and accuracy. Monitor progress, control resource usage, and maintain up-to-date site documentation. Organize phased inspections, handovers, and commissioning of completed works. Support continuous improvement and uphold company quality standards.What We're Looking For
Degree or diploma
in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (preferred, or equivalent professional experience). Minimum5 years' experience
in a similar role withinsteel construction or heavy industrial installation
. Strong proficiency inAutoCAD
,Microsoft Office
, and digital project documentation tools. Demonstrated ability to lead large site teams and coordinate multiple work fronts. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. Solid understanding ofconstruction safety and compliance practices
. FullUK driving licence (Category B)
