Due to continued growth and recent success in winning projects, we are recruiting Structured Cabling Engineer based in the North East Region.

We are seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Engineer with strong expertise in Cat6, Cat6a & Fibre cabling systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of copper and fibre-optic cabling infrastructure across commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test Cat6, and Cat6a to industry standards. Install and splice fibre-optic cabling (preferred but not essential). Build and dress data cabinets, patch panels, and cable containment systems. Conduct network cable testing using Fluke or equivalent certification tools. Diagnose and resolve cabling faults and performance issues. Read and interpret site plans, floor layouts, and technical drawings. Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and provide a quality installation in the most methodical and efficient manner. Collaborate with project managers, and client to deliver high-quality installations on time. Good understanding of Health and Safety i.e. Method & Risk Assessments etc

Requirements:

Proven experience in structured cabling installation. Strong knowledge of Cat6, and Cat6a Experience with cable containment (trunking, tray, basket, conduit). Ability to operate test equipment (e.g., Fluke DSX series). Understanding of health & safety procedures on construction and live sites. Full UK driving licence Candidates must live in the North East region as projects will be predominately in this area Candidates must have an up to date ECS/CSCS card
Wages are negotiable dependent on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
