We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentors to support and guide children in their educational and personal development. This role is essential for fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in areas such as early childhood education, special education, and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one mentoring to students, focusing on their individual needs and learning styles. Assist with academic subjects including maths and language skills, ensuring comprehension and retention. Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and learning outcomes. Support students in developing essential life skills through tutoring in various subjects. Engage in activities that enhance communication skills and social interactions among peers. Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create an inclusive support network for each child. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning.

Requirements

Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential. Background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of applied behaviour analysis techniques is an advantage. Proficiency in teaching subjects such as maths, speech therapy, or physical education is beneficial. Ability to proofread educational materials for clarity and accuracy. A passion for mentoring and supporting the development of young learners. Previous experience in toddler care or preschool settings will be considered an asset.
