Join the University of Reading\'s UK Recruitment and Outreach team to support prospective students and applicants, and particularly those who are from groups under-represented currently in Higher Education.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a strategic programme of outreach, recruitment and conversion (post-application) activity in the South East area (West London, Surrey and some schools in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire), and as the link person for the academic school of Languages and Literature. Your activities will be designed to respond to the specific context of HE progression in the region, ensuring that schools, students and parents receive the information they need both in-person and virtually. In doing so, your activities will directly increase applications and acceptances to the University of Reading from this area, particularly from groups that are under-represented at the university.

You will have:

  • A first degree or equivalent
  • Experience of working within a student recruitment or outreach role or similar
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the UK higher education sector and the student recruitment cycle, including post- application timelines
  • Demonstrate experience giving presentations to post-16 school/college audiences
  • Experience working with external stakeholders and developing relationships
  • Experience organizing events
The role will be based in Reading, but will require frequent travel around the region. You will be part of the Global Recruitment (UK and Outreach) team.

The role is permanent, full-time.
