Role Overview
As a Student Recruitment Liaison Officer (Outreach & Engagement), you will be on the front lines of UKMC's student recruitment strategy. This role is centered around building visibility and engagement through direct communication, school visits, college and university fairs, local education related organization, charities, community outreach including library, council, Job Centre and events. You will be an ambassador of UKMC--informing, inspiring, and guiding prospective students and influencers toward higher education opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the face of UKMC in the field--conducting visits to schools, colleges, community organizations, and education fairs across the UK.
Deliver engaging talks, presentations, and Q&A sessions to promote UKMC's academic programs and student support services.
Build trusted relationships with prospective students, parents, school counsellors, and community leaders.
Develop and maintain partnerships with feeder institutions and community stakeholders.
Organize and attend local recruitment events, pop-up info sessions, and on-site open days.
Follow up with student leads from outreach activities and provide ongoing communication and support through enrollment.
Provide one-on-one advice and guidance about programs, pathways, admissions processes, and funding options.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure outreach messaging is consistent, accessible, and culturally inclusive.
Keep accurate records of outreach activity, student interactions, and conversion progress using the college's CRM system.
Offer insights into emerging student recruitment trends, challenges, and opportunities based on field feedback.
What We're Looking For
Essential
:
A natural communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Experience in outreach, student recruitment, community engagement, or education liaison roles.
Ability to build rapport with a wide range of audiences, including young people and community leaders.
Willingness to travel extensively and work evenings or weekends for events when needed.
Comfortable working independently in the field while remaining connected to the central team.
Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (travel costs reimbursed).
Desirable
:
Background in education, youth work, or public engagement.
Experience working with underrepresented or non-traditional student populations.
Multilingual or culturally aware, with a strong understanding of diversity in education.
Familiarity with education agent networks and UK/international recruitment routes.
