Supporting our students to settle into life in Canterbury, helping with problem-solving, and giving a warm welcome that's just the start of what you'll do as a Student Services Officer at Stafford House International, Canterbury.



We're a vibrant, fast-paced English language school, welcoming hundreds of international students each year. Our Student Services Officers are the first point of contact for students, helping with everything from check-ins and accommodation queries to adapting to life in Canterbury.

What the role involves:



Permanent contract 70 hours total over a 2-week rota. Includes alternate weekends and evenings. When staying in residence overnight, the latest finish is 11pm. Minimum requirement: stay in residence for at least 7 out of 14 nights as part of the role, although you are welcome to stay in residence when not on rota Additional work done while on shift in residence is either paid or taken as time in lieu.

Responsibilities:



While in residence you will support students (similar to a House Parent role) Managing the emergency on-call phone (paid additionally: 57.89115.76/week depending on peak/off-peak). Assisting with student activities, excursions, and general well-being. What we're looking for:



Experience working with international students or in a residential setting is a plus. Additional languages are an advantage but not essential. Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Comfortable using databases and MS Office. Understanding of safeguarding practices when working with young people. A sense of fun and willingness to get involved!
