Social Media Student Rep
to run and operate our student Instagram account, showcasing the best student nights and events in town.
Role Responsibilities:
Create and post regular Instagram content (photos, reels, stories) that captures the energy of our student events.
Promote upcoming nights, student offers, and special events.
Engage with students online to help build our community and increase attendance.
Bring fresh, creative ideas to grow the page and connect with the student crowd.
Attend events to capture live content (photography, videos, stories).
What We're Looking For:
A current student at Bournemouth University or AUB.
Confident using Instagram, reels, and trending content formats.
Creative, reliable, and enthusiastic about student life and nightlife.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Someone social, outgoing, and in touch with the local student scene.

Contract:
Part-time, flexible (approx. 6-18 hours per week, mainly work from home but also evenings and event days).

Duties
Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Create engaging content that aligns with our brand voice and objectives, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and feedback; respond promptly to audience inquiries and engage with followers.
Analyse performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all platforms.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media management and public relations.
Manage social media advertising campaigns to increase reach and engagement.
Skills
Proven experience in social media management with a strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong understanding of public relations principles and how they apply to social media.
Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content creation.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
