The Deepings School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Student Support Officer/Learning Mentor to join our dedicated Student Support Team. You will play a key role in supporting students who may be struggling with their behaviour, working closely with staff to ensure every student can succeed.

About the role:
You will support students and staff across the school, mentor individual students, and help lead initiatives to reduce low-level disruption and promote positive behaviour. You'll also contribute to our RAISE and RESET provision and work closely with colleagues to ensure our Behaviour Policy is implemented consistently.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support students with challenging behaviour in lessons and around the school
Support staff in dealing with challenging behaviour in classrooms
Mentor a specified group of students
Identify new ways to support students, e.g., through off-site activities
Support the running of the RAISE and RESET Rooms and the "On Call" provision throughout the day
Monitor, develop, and implement appropriate resources for RAISE and RESET
Collaborate with other Student Support Officers as a member of the Student Support Team
Ensure the implementation of the Behaviour Policy across the school, providing support and consistency for colleagues
Assist the Student Support Manager in providing daily reports to the Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Inclusion and Safeguarding
Carry out other appropriate duties identified by the Line Manager, such as leading a tutor group
