Role description: Arcadis is seeking a Studio Manager to join our Education Practice within the Architecture & Urbanism division. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the delivery of innovative education projects across schools, colleges, universities, and science/research facilities in both the public and private sectors. As Studio Manager, you will report to the Practice Group Manager (Education) and play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, workforce optimisation, and alignment with the Global Architecture & Urbanism strategy and financial targets. We are looking for a technically strong and collaborative leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about education design. Role accountabilities: Provide effective leadership and oversight of studio operations, ensuring efficiency and quality across all RIBA work stages. Manage resource planning, project delivery, and team performance to meet client and business objectives. Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and protocols to enhance operational effectiveness. Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic growth and client engagement. Lead client development activities and contribute to work-winning, including bid preparation, presentations, and relationship building Qualifications & Experience: Professional qualification: RIBA Chartered Architect or MCIAT. Proven experience delivering sizeable UK education projects, with knowledge of DfE Output Specifications and Building Bulletins. Strong understanding of building regulations, design standards, and best practice. Experience leading smaller projects and contributing to larger schemes as part of a team.
