THE ONE SHOW TALENT POOLS
This is a brilliant opportunity for experienced researchers looking to work on the One Show. The talent pool serves as a database of researchers that have the necessary skills and experience to work with us and forms a group of candidates that we will consider as a priority should a short-term (non-permanent) researcher position become vacant.
PLEASE NOTE: The BBC Studios One Show studio researcher pool is an opportunity for candidates to express their interest in working for The One Show in London. If accepted into the pool it is not a guarantee of a job role and successful applicants will not necessarily end up working for BBC Studios.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Studio researchers gather relevant information regarding the guests and contributors for the programme and deliver precise and accurate briefs to the producer. They generate ideas for innovative live content and are involved in the editorial briefing of guests prior to the live show going on air, as well as being across the sourcing and clearing of stills, archive clips and music.
Researchers on The One Show studio team work within a rotating day team of producer, assistant producer and researcher, who generate all studio / OB content for the programme.
