Clear Links Support is recruiting for Study Assistants to support students studying at University of Dundee.
The role:
You will be working with students to provide a range of enabling strategies complemented by some practical assistance to help students adapt to the academic requirements of higher education and their learning environments.
Reliable, degree-level Study Assistants are required to support students with the management of their workload including assistance with planning schedules, prioritising tasks, providing reassurance to help to reduce anxiety, making students aware of other services where appropriate and maintaining regular attendance. The Study Assistant role can include practical support tasks, such as support with accessing library resources and organising and carrying materials, as well as notetaking to produce an accurate and legible record of the content of lectures, seminars and discussions. The role may also include guiding students to a location linked to their academic course or providing assistance with mobility aids.

Role requirements:
Applicants must have a degree or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.
A proficient level of verbal and written English is essential and will be assessed as part of the shortlisting process.
Applicants must have an understanding of the impact of disabilities in the higher education context before starting in the role. Disability awareness training will be provided.
Applicants must be available to provide in person support at University of Dundee. Work will be available from August 2025 but there may be an opportunity to offer summer support from June 2025.
By the start of employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. This post is also subject to satisfactory references, a background check under the PVG Scheme, as well as other applicable pre-employment checks.
