THE ROLE



As the central member of the wider Study Team, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring the performance of customer projects is conducted according to the requirements detailed in the contract. Your role will allow you to specialise in the management of projects within Immunology Services with opportunities to collaborate with our Biophysics, Cell Line Development and Bioanalytical teams. To support you in your role, guidance and direction will be available from the Senior Study Manager and Project Lead, alongside opportunities to cross-train in different scientific areas (with support from a Study Team).

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU TO DO

Key responsibilities:



Manage



Oversee and execute customer studies from start to finish, ensuring that customer objectives and timelines are always met

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, which includes managing projects at different stages of progression

Independently manage studies within our framework, ensuring that studies are traceable, reproducible, and that the quality of data generated is exceptional

Discuss assay and study design with Senior Study Managers

Lead study team discussions to ensure customer objectives are understood by all team members

Continually review, monitor, and communicate updates and direction to other colleagues within the business

Document Preparation



Prepare protocols and reports for customers and laboratory documentation for internal use

Train others to prepare and technically review study documentation

Laboratory Operations



Perform, to a high standard, a wide range of assays across two or three focussed technical areas

Through deeper technical understanding of the assays you perform, mitigate risks of error during design or performance of the assays

Data Analysis and Interpretation



Analyse complex datasets from a variety of platforms and format for presentation to customers

Draw conclusions from data generated in response to the customer's requirements to help customers move their projects forward

Train others to analyse, interpret, format, and present data

Customer Engagement



In collaboration with the Account Managers, communicate with customers via email and video call to scope the individual requirements of each project and present study findings

Process Improvements



Identify opportunities for improvement and propose projects to management for approval

Lead improvement projects across the Operations group and participate in company-wide projects

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU



We would like you to have the following:



A relevant degree in an immunology related area, ideally MSc or PhD level.

Competence in the performance and management of one or two relevant lab techniques, which include primary cell-based assays, flow cytometry and live-cell impedance-based assays

Previous experience with customer engagement interactions.

Project management experience especially overseeing multiple and complex projects in academic research or CRO environments.

Assay development and troubleshooting expertise.

Confidence in literature searching/reading to expand your understanding beyond current knowledge and employ this in project development.
