Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting or within home care environments. Driving may be necessary for some roles, depending on the location of service users.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Follow individual care plans to ensure personalised support is delivered effectively. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental well-being. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring travel between locations. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with residents and team members. Strong IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and accessing information systems. Excellent communication skills are necessary to build rapport with residents and collaborate with colleagues effectively.
