Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for individuals in need of assistance. Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members, fostering a positive atmosphere. Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed (driving licence required).

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. A good command of English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using care management software. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to vulnerable individuals. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
