We are looking for a Sub Agent to join our HS2 main works team in London .
What you'll do:
Collaborate with the supply chain and SCS team to understand activities, logic, critical paths, and key handover dates. Effectively communicate requirements before and after commencement of works. Maintain a detailed 12-week programme and record progress against plans.
Recognise and communicate risks and opportunities in the Clause 32 programme. Work proactively with the Agent to develop contingency plans.
Assist in developing efficient solutions while considering constructability and value. Maintain accurate daily records of construction progress.
Support in administering subcontracts by understanding subcontractor responsibilities. Conduct weekly progress meetings and formal reviews with stakeholders.
Assist the Temporary Works Coordinator to ensure compliance with best practices, liaising between different teams as needed.
Define quality standards at an operational level ensuring all work meets these standards while also assisting in compiling handover information for legacy works.
What you'll bring to the role:
Experience working in a heavy-civils environment, with a focus on self-delivered reinforced concrete structures.
Proven track record working delivering complex civil engineering projects, including reinforced concrete works, with strict adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Experience in leading and managing projects under a self-delivery model, where the candidate has been directly responsible for the successful completion of reinforced concrete works, from planning through to execution, without reliance on subcontracting major work packages (exception made for provision of skilled labour).
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, specifically related to heavy civils and reinforced concrete works. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and to foresee and mitigate potential issues during project execution.
