Abatec are excited to be working with a well-known, award winning, Civil Engineering Contractor with a wealth of experience across a broad range of sectors. Our client is looking for a Sub Agent to work on a Major Reservoir Project in Portsmouth with an overall value of 325m running until 2029.
Our client has secured the Earthworks phase on this project and will therefore require a Sub Agent with previous Earthworks experience, who would be confident using excavated soil to raise lower areas and create embankments.

As Sub Agent you will:

• Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements, permits etc
• Ensure all quality documentation is completed to company standards
• Manage the Site Engineers, resolving any technical queries, liaising with the main contractor representatives
• Reporting into senior management on programme regarding performance and progress.
• Resolve difficulties and problems which may arise
• Supervising and leading a site team and sub-contractors

Our client requires a Sub Agent with:

• HNC/Degree or in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Experience of working in a similar position for a Civils contractor
• Previous earthworks experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Can-do attitude, able to meet fixed deadlines and manage risk
• SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS card

Salary/Benefits:

• 55,000 - 60,000 per annum
• Company vehicle & fuel card
• Subsistence offered if living over 100 miles from site (65 per night)
