Summary
We are seeking an Assembler to join our dedicated team at Michael Smith Switchgear Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling various components of LV switchgear and control panels, ensuring that each product meets our high standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities
Assembly of numerous component parts according to specifications
Assembly of sub-components and stock items.
Assisting the Production Department with any copper requirements i.e. cutting, bending and finishing.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
All other duties as required that are considered to be a reasonable employer request.
Requirements
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to work with hand and power tools.
Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
Good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Good dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency.
Displays a confident and clear approach when communicating internally.
The ability to build relationships with people quickly through effective communication.
Displays an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Respectful of customer confidentiality and also when handling customer information.
A genuine team worker.
Be able to work independently using own initiative.
Good attention to detail and high standards of work ethic.
Must be reliable and honest.
