Labourer - Reconfiguration Project (Residential Property)

Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne (site-based)

Project:

Full internal reconfiguration and refurbishment of an older house, working alongside a multidisciplinary team (joiners, plumbers, electricians, decorators).

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable

Labourer with proven site experience

to support our team in the reconfiguration of a residential property. The role involves manual handling, demolition, material movement, site clearance, and general assistance across trades.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying, loading, and moving building materials around site Assisting with internal demolition and strip-out works (ceilings, partitions, fixtures) Clearing waste and maintaining site tidiness in line with H&S requirements Supporting joiners, plumbers, and other trades as directed Ensuring safe handling and storage of materials Working flexibly to meet project deadlines
Requirements

Previous labouring experience on construction or refurbishment sites Capable of manual handling and physically demanding work Own basic tools and PPE (steel-toe boots, gloves, hard hat, hi-vis)

Own transport

to access site daily Valid CSCS card (preferred, but not essential if experienced) Understanding of basic site health and safety
Offer

Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience) Paid weekly. Ongoing work for the duration of the project, with potential for repeat work Immediate start available
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 2 weeks

Pay: 100.00 per day
