Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial & Domestic Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using various hand and power tools. This role involves working on gas installations, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. The Gas Engineer will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality service to our clients while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Conduct gas installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential and commercial properties. Perform thorough inspections of gas systems to identify potential issues or hazards. Assemble and weld components as required for gas systems. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including any necessary documentation. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, when required for installations or repairs. Engage in heavy lifting as necessary during installations or equipment handling. Use basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.

Experience

Candidates should have prior experience in a similar role or possess relevant qualifications in gas engineering. A background in mechanical work is advantageous. The following skills are essential or highly desirable:

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Experience with commercial driving may be beneficial for transporting equipment. Ability to plumb effectively within gas systems. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues efficiently. Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks.
