The Subcontracts Lead plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the full lifecycle of subcontracting activities to support major decommissioning projects. This position is responsible for formation of appropriate terms and conditions, negotiation and management of subcontracts and ensuring subcontractors' performance aligns with project objectives, timelines and budget.
Responsibilitie
1. Collaborate with technical, legal and commercial teams to develop contracting strategies that mitigate risk and maximise value.
2. Draft appropriate terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company's policies, client contracts, legal and regulatory requirements, mitigate risks and protect the company's interests.
3. Lead the development, negotiation and execution of subcontracts required to support various service lines including duty holder operations, wells, subsea and engineering & construction.
4. Manage the end-to-end subcontracting process, including bidder selection, tendering, bid evaluation, contract award, and post-award administration.
5. Monitor subcontractor performance, resolve disputes, and manage claims and variations.
6. Ensure subcontracts comply with applicable company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Maintain accurate records and reporting of subcontracting activities, including spend and contract status.
8. Support project teams in the execution phase by providing contractual guidance and ensuring alignment with project goals.
9. Foster strong relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration and performance.
10. Ensure that all work is carried out safely in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Knowledge & Qualifications
1. A degree in Business, Law or a related field (essential).
2. Extensive knowledge of Oil and Gas industry-standard contract structures, templates, formats with special emphasis on LOGIC (essential).
3. Understanding of supplier related risks and importance of safety (essential).
4. Familiarity with offshore operations and supply chain principles and best practices (desirable).
