Do you have the ambition, energy and drive to be part of a unique and growing new school?
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and passionate teacher of RE to join our growing secondary phase at St Mark's Church of England, All-through School in Southampton and lead the development of our RE curriculum. It is a great opportunity for an ambitious teacher to develop their pedagogy and practice and actively shape our evolving Religious Education curriculum.
St Mark's opened the secondary phase of its all-through school in 2022 when the school moved into brand new facilities. The school is highly oversubscribed and has quickly established an excellent local reputation, including a rating of 'good' in all areas by Ofsted in 2022.
The successful candidate will be keen to become an active member of the school community and opportunities for development are rich.
With a rich diversity of backgrounds and cultures from our local community, the post-holder needs to be fully committed to inclusivity and hold a core belief in raising aspirations for every child regardless of their background and individual needs.
Being part of a growing school is a rare and exciting opportunity and the unique context of being Southampton's only all through school, gives candidates an opportunity to work across all ages with a range of staff as we further expand and gain a really broad range of experiences.
To be successful, you will need to uphold our schools strong Christian values of Love, Service and Belonging and live these values as you work with colleagues to support our children and our community.
We reserve the right to call candidates for interview and appoint to the role before the closing date
Unfortunately we do not have the ability to support visa sponsorship.
Ambition and energy are equally as important, as experience and applicants are warmly invited to visit the school. Visits can be arranged by contacting the Head of Secondary, Mr Ben Godber via email at bgodber@st-marks-southampton.org.uk
Applications can be made through TES or directly via the school website. https://www.stmarksschool.co.uk/community/vacancies-at-st-marks/ and return completed applications to: recruitment@st-marks-southampton.org.uk
We look forward to hearing from you. Closing date Tuesday 7th July (4.00pm)
St Mark's Church of England School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This role requires an enhanced DBS. Southampton City Council is an equal opportunity employer.
