At the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA), we believe education should be relevant, inclusive, and empowering. Our Foundation Degrees are designed to build practical, career-ready skills while supporting students from a wide range of backgrounds.

  • We're seeking a Subject Lead to shape and deliver high-quality teaching across our Foundation Degree provision-particularly in Business, Hospitality, and related areas. You'll be at the heart of student success, leading innovative modules, mentoring learners, and working closely with industry and academic colleagues to align education with real-world needs.
Position
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum
  • Teach and lead a set of modules at Levels 4-5
  • Develop high-quality teaching materials, assessments, and content (incl. digital)
  • Deliver sessions across weekdays, evenings, or weekends (as preferred and required)
  • Align teaching with LCCA's experiential, reflective, and inclusive philosophy
Academic & Student Support
  • Monitor student progress and provide academic and pastoral guidance
  • Promote engagement, progression, and achievement across modules
  • Ensure assessments are rigorous, fair, and developmental
  • Lead on module planning, timetabling, and standardisation
Leadership & Development
  • Contribute to curriculum design, review, and innovation
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and embed them in teaching
  • Support quality assurance, exam boards, recruitment, and student experience
  • Foster inclusive practices and contribute to staff and personal development
  • Engage in professional practice, research, or scholarly activity
Requirements
Experience
  • Higher Education teaching experience, ideally with Foundation Degree or widening participation cohorts
  • Experience designing engaging, inclusive curriculum and assessments
  • Proven ability to support student success and wellbeing
  • Desirable: industry engagement or professional practice in a relevant field
Skills & Mindset
  • Able to develop and deliver creative, real-world learning experiences
  • Strong understanding of assessment strategy and constructive feedback
  • Organised, efficient, and confident in managing time and teaching delivery
  • Collaborative approach-works well across teams and disciplines
