Job Description

Renaissance will be employing a Drug & Alcohol Project Worker to be a part of a larger Multi-Disciplinary team; You will be working with Multi-Disadvantaged Individuals to provide Substance use specific support and a bespoke tailored care package in partnership with a specialist team based at Winstone House, Blackpool. You will offer a Trauma Informed Approach to all aspects of your work, outreach within community settings is a must and you will occasionally be working within Custody and Probation settings, so a full enhanced DBS is required.

25,545.00 - 30,296.00 per annum starting salary (dependent on experience) 37.5 hours per week.

9-month probationary period required. 2-year fixed term contract with opportunity for extension.

This project will require some evening and weekend working so some flexibility is required.

The function of the Drug & Alcohol Project Worker will be to provide intensive, highly coordinated,

and flexible support and responses for service users with longer term multiple and disadvantaged needs and with whom services have found it difficult to engage.

Most importantly where there are histories as entrenched substance use, homelessness, past trauma, severe and enduring mental illness, physical illness, social chaos, and high use of inpatient beds.

Do you have a relevant degree and/or a comparable DANOS training qualification? Do you have lived or work experience in working with complex adults? You will require excellent listening, communication, organisational, case working and administrative/IT skills. You will demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current drug and alcohol services in Blackpool and of substance use related issues. Ideally you will have experience of working with other groups of vulnerable adults.
