Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing high-quality sandwiches and related food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Duties

Prepare a variety of sandwiches and salads according to company recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared fresh, hygienically, and in accordance with food safety regulations Serve customers promptly with friendly and professional service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils Manage stock levels, restocking ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation Upsell additional items to maximise sales opportunities during customer interactions Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper food handling procedures

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant environment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous Experience in serving customers with excellent communication skills is desirable Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing stock levels are required Kitchen or culinary experience will be considered an asset Strong time management skills to ensure orders are prepared promptly during busy periods Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, maintaining a positive attitude throughout shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
