Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Sandwich Makers to join our brand new subway which will be opening in January. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and other food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to food safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.

Duties

Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other quick-service food items according to company recipes and standards. Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in accordance with food safety regulations. Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and providing friendly assistance. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils regularly. Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely order completion. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and portion control. Experience working in a kitchen environment or culinary background is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours. Excellent serving skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards customers. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary.
