We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Artist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an understanding of food safety standards. As a Sandwich Artist, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious sandwiches that meet our customers' expectations while providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including slicing vegetables, meats, and cheeses.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
Engage with customers to provide recommendations and upsell menu items when appropriate.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Follow time management practices to complete orders promptly without compromising quality.
Skills
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
Experience in food preparation within a restaurant or similar setting is advantageous.
Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
Basic culinary skills, including knife skills and ingredient handling.
Proficient in basic maths for measuring ingredients and managing orders accurately.
A friendly disposition with a willingness to help both customers and team members alike.
