Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches to meet our customers' preferences while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer orders, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist with food preparation tasks, including prepping meats, cheeses, and vegetables. Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, providing excellent customer service. Upsell additional items such as sides and drinks to enhance the customer experience. Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods. Follow basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing portion sizes.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, particularly in food preparation or culinary roles. Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and portion control. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Experience in upselling or promoting menu items is advantageous
