Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches while ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere, and promoting our menu offerings through effective upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, cooking meats, and preparing sauces. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and promote daily specials through upselling. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Conduct regular checks on inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer experiences.

Experience

Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is advantageous. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory are required. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A passion for food preparation and an eagerness to learn new techniques in the kitchen are essential attributes for success in this role.
