Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches while ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive dining experience.

Duties

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer orders, ensuring quality and presentation are maintained. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and preparing sauces as needed. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods while maintaining quality. Engage with customers to take orders and provide recommendations, utilising upselling techniques when appropriate. Perform basic maths calculations for portioning ingredients and managing inventory levels. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and assist with any additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently. Basic culinary skills with an ability to follow recipes accurately. Good interpersonal skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting.

Pay: 7.55-12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 7.55 - 12.30 per week
