Duties

Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the preparation process. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and assembling ingredients. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, ensuring all tools are kept clean and in good working order. Engage with customers to take orders and provide recommendations, utilising upselling techniques where appropriate. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised kitchen environment and support overall operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food preparation setting is preferred but not essential. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure. A passion for culinary arts with an eagerness to learn and develop new skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team-oriented atmosphere.
