Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring that each sandwich is crafted to perfection while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a kitchen setting.

Duties

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all food preparation surfaces are hygienic. Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and preparing sauces. Uphold food safety standards by properly storing ingredients and disposing of expired items. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and upsell menu items when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to management.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not essential. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately. Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen setting. A positive attitude with a willingness to help others and contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: 11.50-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
