Working for

Stirling Hotel Services

, the University of Stirling's catering company, you will help to deliver an exceptional experience to students, staff, visitors and guests.

You could be serving breakfast, lunch or dinner to our many guests, delivering catering at a major conference or University graduationor serving in one of our cafes, bars or restaurants. There are so many opportunities to learn new skills including Barista and bar.

Responsibilities

Ability to work in all areas of Food and Beverage inc. Bar, Restaurant, Conference & Events.

Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner

Promote food & beverage offers

Ensure cleanliness of work areas

Report all maintenance issues to the Supervisor promptly

Follow all stock control requirements and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.

Share customer and team member feedback to the Supervisor.

Carry out all other general responsibilities when required to ensure effective delivery of service.

About you

Have a natural ability to deliver exceptional service

Experience working in a high street restaurant / pub environment and / or a major sporting or events venue.

Barista experience preferred but not essential.

Positive and passionate with a natural flare for hospitality

Have excellent communication skills, exuding confidence and a cheerful manner, with an ability to communicate freely and effectively.

Can approach tasks in a calm and structured way, with a skill in being reactive and flexible when required

Demonstrate a willingness to complete on-the-job training in an enthusiastic manner and apply learnings to your position.
