Pilgrims Hospices is looking for a Sunday Supervisor to join the team in our Whitstable General Store, helping to support our retail managers, staff and volunteers with their day-to-day duties.

The Role

As the Sunday Supervisor you will assist the retail operations and ensure that they are a successful source of income generation whilst maintaining a good rapport with the wider retail team. Your main responsibilities will include:


To support the Retail Manager with the day to day running of the shop. Meeting agreed financial targets. Maintaining effective stock management and merchandising. Managing and training volunteers. Carrying out shop administration. Ensuring adequate security. Following health and safety policy & procedures and giving training when needed.. Implementing and ensuring the growth or our Gift Aid scheme.

About You

To be successful in this role you should have:


Experience working in a target-driven retail environment. Entrepreneurial and commercial mind. A good standard of numeracy and English Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, personable and able to relate to volunteers A flexible and positive attitude Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, personable and able to relate to volunteers
